Moon Pies are have been one of my favorite treats for years. They can still be found at Craker Barrell restaurants along with some of the other older candy that is hard to find.

I live in North Carolina and trust me you cant swing a cat in a store around here and NOT hit a moonpie...theres orange ones for some reason now, vanilla one that taste like candle wax, and at one time nanner flavored.

There's nothing particularly 70s about moonpies. Another North Carolina resident here...believe me, there still all around, and they were before the 70s. Moon Pie, four corner nabs and an RC cola is the classic NC country snack.

They are still very accessable. Wal-mart sells them in the snack isle. Or online.
