This was a snack food from the mid '70's, basically corn kernels slightly softer than popping corn, that came in a canister ... wasn't very tasty

Jimmy Crack Corn was a soybean-based snack produced by United Roasting (N. Carolina) starting in 1969. Legal issues arose in 1973 concerning roasting of soybeans, as Colgate-Palmolive sought to acquire the brand.
