Description
They were like a tic tac, but came in spicier flavors...cinnamon, spearmint, peppermint and this assorted pack. Rattled like tic tacs, but were in a rectangular pack as if you held the tic tacs sideways..they even had grape in the assortment...they even had a spicy kick.

Dynamints instantly take me back to 6th grade, with Dynamite magazine....

The variety pack came with orange, hot cherry, and grape, I think.

MARY!,you are killing me! the 1st thing i thought of when i saw dynamints on this list was dynamite magazine we used to read religiously in the 6th grade! how totaly wierd!? the adds for them were always in that mag as well as adds for bubbleyum gum and bubblelicious gum.it seems that in 6th grade tictacs and gum were HUGE for some reason.that mag always had jj walker or vinnie barbarino,or the fonz on it and we all thought we were so cool reading it with our HUGE pocket combs, gouchos, and dr scholls sandles on-if you didnt own all those things you were the geek that no one ate lunch with. things were simpler then- lets build a time machine!

These were more fun than tic-tacs. I have a vague memory of a package containing two flavors, divided right down the middle. There was a flap at both ends to access both types of candy.

TicTacs are much better. The shiny coating had a perfumy taste; the grape was the worst. I'm amazed at the stuff I ate when I was a kid that didn't taste that good!

In the early 70's, my sister loved that translucent rock candy that was nothing but pure sugar. It probably was backed by the dental industry and made many a dentist rich ten times over.

TOTALLY remember these. After the candy was gone, we'd fill with water and drink from it. We thought we were so cool!!

Thank you I'm not crazy. I tried to tell someone about these last week at work and they just gave me the empty stare. Even one co-worker whose 20 older then me didn't remember these. I liked these better then tic tacs that came out the same year. It was 1974 and the 2nd grade better then every one else girls formed the tic tac club. I was in and out of that club so much that another girl and I started the dynomite club and ate these. I too go back to the Dynomite mag and always remember Jimmy Walker, John Travolta and John Denver on the cover. Wow what a trip down memory lane.

I remember Dynamints fondly, primarily because they had more flavors to offer than Tic Tacs. Seemed like they focused more on fruit flavors than mint. They also tended to be bigger than Tic Tacs. It was a great after-school ritual to sit down with a box of Dynamints and watch Star Blazers. If it were only 1980 nce more...

I liked Dynamints and always carried them in my purse. When my daughter was little, we used to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." She thought the words were "like a Dynamint in the sky." It was so precious. I was trying to find some to give her on her 40th birthday. But, alas I can't find any.

YES!!! I remember these! I remember getting Dynamints at a local drug store when I lived in New Jersey. This is the same place I got Wacky Packages stickers. Wacky Packages had a sticker spoofing Dynamints called Dynamites. Sometimes after I eat them I will fill it with water and drink from it. A few years back I suggested Dynamints for the Vermont Country Store. I haven't been on their website for years so I don't know if they have found it.

After toy companies stopped putting candy “pills” in doctor/nurse kits, we would fill the empty containers with these or Tic Tacs.
