Real Orange Crush was so good!!! I remember it from the early 70's when I was about 4. I think it came in a brown bottle. The orange color and taste was real like fresh sqeezed sweet tart fizzy OJ, not the nuclear colored chemical concoction it is today and you could actually see the orange pulp floating around. On hot summer days after a trip to the bookmobile, mom would stick them in the freezer to get them extra cold. : )

The best crush was the hard to find pineapple flavor. I first had it in hawaii, and later found some in the states. Maybe it was just that soda tasted so good as a kid in the 70's, but super cold crush was my fav!

My Grandma and I loved orange crush. You can still find the glass bottles of it a Wal-Mart but it isn't the same. What I can't understand is why they have done away with the returnable bottles (glass) in this day and age of save the earth mentality wouldn't it make more sense? The pop (all kinds) was so much better in glass. Beer drinkers won't put up with plastic why should we? Miller Lite flopped in plastic bottles.

This was my favourite pop as a kid. Does anyone remember going to your local corner store and the pop bottles were kept in a cooler full of ice and water. On a hot day there was nothing better!

back in the 60's and 70's Orange was great, but Cherry Crush was the best! I moved to Texas in 1978 and saw a red crush bottle cap in a pop machine. I was so excited I bought it, popped the top, took a big swig, and spit it out! Strawberry Crush should be outlawed..

we should have never switched to plastic bottles, these environmental bastards are the ones who started this crap in the name of recycling, threatening to sue companies who didn't go along with the program. Now their singing a different tune telling everybody plastic isn't safe, they knew it wasn't safe back then,it was all about money to them, just like their doing with so called green movement.Their looking to cash in at the expense of our health, their no better than the big bad companies, all these bastards are no good, the best thing to do is pray and ask GOD to bless every thing that we consume.

Crush Pineapple is the BEST. It's still available and sold in Canada.Available in cans or plastic bottles and 2L bottles...but only available in certain areas. Drop me a line if anyone is interested in having some shipped to them.jjhann at hotmail.com

Here in Lancaster, Ohio and the surrounding towns you can purchase 6 packs of Crush Soda in glass bottles at Walmart. They have orange, grape, red. They have some rootbeers in glass bottles and teeny tiny bottles of Coke. I have beening buyin Mexican Coke because it's what we had in the US in the 190's and before. It is sweetend with real cane sugar and in a 16 oz glass bottle. So many memories. Sam's Club has 24-16 bottles of coke for like 12.99 from Mexico!

Good News! They still sell the Crush soda (Orange, Strawberry, and Grape). It is now sold in plastic bottles at stores like "Big Lots" for $1.00 each. ^_^

On the Chicago Scene. In 1980, Crush sponsored Fantastic Plastic, a promotional deal with WLS Musicradio 89. These were cards with etched-in numbers and a black strip. In a July broadcast, DJ Tommy Edwards made several announcements about it. When a cardholder's number was called, prizes ranging from record albums to vacation trips. Also, discounts on merchandise or services at various stores. Demand for the cards was high, the station kept running out. Top 40 radio was crazy in the day.
