There was a candy pendant on the necklace that had a lot of red coloring on it. I remember this because my mom was all freaked out about the red dye #2 thing.

My 6th grade class for avid was having projects due and i was looking for a recipe or food of the 70s. I find this and I got them. It was great!

candy necklaces in the 70's were great tasting; nothing else tasted like those necklaces; necklaces can still be purchased in various venues today, but they do not taste like they did 40 years ago. taste like junk now - avoid them

I agree, they do not taste the same. We used to get candy necklaces at the dime store. If you didn't eat the candies off quick enough, your skin was stained in various colors.

Hard enough to break your teeth, but soooo good.
