Description
Big Buddy gum was shaped like a ruler (I think it even had a ruler on it's packaging). Crunchios were like corn chips, but in the shape of rings and came in a container like a fat Pringles container.

When I was growing up in the 70's me and my best friend always walked up to the ma and pop store just to get Big Buddy's. Guess how much? 10cents a piece! My favorite was watermellon. They were a mouthful!!!

I have been looking for Big Buddy's everywhere for 30 years. Sometimes in my travels I see "old time" candy stores but they never carry it. Grape was the absolute best flavor, although I do remember the Hawaiian one too. When we bought them they had a big star on them that said 10 Cents! Wow, that and an ice cold RC cola for a quarter, gotta love it!

I have also been looking for Big Buddy's everywhere. We had contests to see who could chew a whole one at one time. Those were the best!

I don't remember Crunchios, but I LOVED big buddies. I'm looking for them...they seem to be discontinued. :( One of my best memories...big buddies and the old charms lollipops.

Crunchios were awesome! Potato flavor circles, about the width of a mans wedding ring...my son used to put one on each finger and eat them off one at a time...have often thought about them and wished they still made them.

I would walk to the drug store in Kensington, MD back in 1970 in 4th grade. Big Buddies were 5 cents each. I would buy a bunch of them and Charm pops and sell them for 25 cents each. Also did big business in cinnamon toothpicks.
