I was thinking about Astro Pops the other day, actually (they were yellow, red, and green, and cone-shaped, by the way). I was thinking, 'Who was the cullinary genius who thought up this dangerous confection for children?'! Remember how when you sucked on them for very long the tip of the cone became as sharp as a weapon? Imagine a kid running with one in his mouth...wow, that could be a real disaster. In defense of the candy, though, it really did taste pretty good, didn't it? It had kind of a pineapple taste to it.

I remember these, I recall I didn't like them much.

I have to laugh at this. I was browsing through these and when I saw Astro Pop, I thought oh wow, I remember sucking on this thing until it formed like a mini lance. Frequently you would be careless in your licking and actually pierce your tongue or roof of your mouth. So good and colorful with that translucent effect. Being a kid in the 70s wasnt so bad.

I remeber these, they were pretty good but they would stick to your teeth if you tried to S-L-O-W-L-Y bite into them. My cousin loved these things.
