Great shoes. Does anyone remember the ones with the circle-shaped Coca Cola label on the side?

Everybody wore these WITH bell bottoms. After a while, they offered them in baby blue. I even saw John Boy on The Waltons with a pair on. Not very authentic 30s wear!

These were probably the most popular shoes for men in my Dallas-area junior high school in the late 70s. The jocks in my school called them "Nuges," after Ted Nugent, as if the knee-high lace-up moccasin boots Ted Nugent wore at the time bore some resemblance to these tame, ankle-high things. Girls wore these, too.

These were the only shoes I wore for all of 1973, '74, and '75 while in grade school in southern California. Extremely comfortable. I loved them. I want a pair NOW.

You can still buy these. I own a pair just like in the picture and they are exactly the same as they were back then. Made very well and just as comfortable. Pricey though. Get em at Clarks Shoes.

Oh my gosh I had a pair from 75 to 79. I had booth the tan with beige rubber and the black with beige rubber. Wore them with stiff real 501 Levis. They started to make them again. The original company from the U.K. called Clark's, but your gonna pay like $100
