Description: Like a tennis visor but with a perspex shade. We used to wear them out at night time going out disco dancing. Often we would accessorise by adding small bright coloured feathers on one side.

I remember these being really popular around 1975-76, the same time terry cloth, tennis clothes, gauchos, hoods, and Frye/Dingo boots were popular. A girl in one of my 6th-grade (age 11-12) class had a terry cloth top with a drawstring hood on it that had its own yellow-tinted visor! She wore it with yellow canvas gauchos and low-heeled, ankle-wrap, canvas espadrilles with rainbow trim.

I think they're still in stores today.
