Description: I remember sewing these 6 and 8 panel ankle length skirts to wear to school and to dance in. They looked great with black boots that laced on the sides. Sometimes I would tie a rayon gypsy shawl over my hips, knotted on the side. If you ever add photos to this site, I still have the skirt in an orangey print fabric. I just wish my waist was still that size.

this was not the bes of help to me as i am doing an important assignment about the history of skirts. i havent really picked anything up apart from where you wore it. sorry, it must have taken ages to get this site up and running. hopefully my critism helps in some way! thanks (:

I have just rediscovered one in my wardrobe. It is a purple eight-gore maxiskirt made out of angora wool. It is made by St Michael. I'm pretty sure I bought it in 1974. It says size 10 but it is much smaller than a current size 10. I used to wear it with a pale pink angora top with some small buttons down the front'
