I don't recall anyone wearing peace sign emblems on their gold chains in discos. Medallions were worn such as yin/yang and zodiac signs were very popular as were the popular white puca-shell necklaces. Peace signs were popular earlier in the 1970s. We wore them with our "hippie" halloween costumes in the early 1970s, not in the later disco days.

People do get the different eras of the 70s mixed up. And yes, peace signs were "out" by the time disco was big in the mid-70s. The idea of peace wasn't out, just the CND symbol for it, which was everywhere during the late 60s and early 70s. I do remember seeing peace sign necklaces, though. Peace signs were incorporated into everything in the early 70s, and it was taken seriously, not laughed at or thought of as merely commercial gimmick.
